It’s a really emotional time of year for me. On 4th August 2016 I was admitted back into hospital with complications following surgery for hernia and an enormous ovarian cyst…
5th August 2017 I was admitted back into hospital with complications following surgery to fix the problems left by those complications…
(None of it was the fault of my wonderful surgeons and the hospital – it was just the goddam stupid lupus)
I had a long recovery and it took me a while to get back to writing, and to finishing the writing of The Witch House, but here we are.
And today, it’s PUBLICATION DAY!
The spell is broken. The Bad Fairy has been defeated.
I am so delighted The Witch House found a home with Red Dog whose enthusiasm has made the whole process of publication – from contract, through cover design and edits and proofs – a real joy.
So in celebration there’s going to be a bit of silliness over on my Facebook page on the next few days
There will be videos with questions about me and the novel – some obvious, some impossible!
and there will be some prizes…
All you have to do is
- Like my page
- Watch a video (or five)
- Answer multiple choice questions with truths and lies about me and the novel
- Share the video…
- Check my page on Sunday 9th August to see the winners
There will be copies of the novel (when they get here!), a few of my handmade bookmarks, and little pouches with Witch House themed surprises inside… There’s a tiny witchy necklace, with Whitby jet in a Tibetan silver tree setting. I might EVEN give away a bar of my favourite chocolate…
My good friend Sarah Arrow put together the videos for me. Do check out Sarah’s services. She and her husband, Kevin specialise in online marketing services for entrepreneurs. I’ve known them for years and years, and they are knowledgeable and dedicated. Sarah’s Blogging Challenge can be found here and there’s a Facebook Page, Follow The Arrows, here. Sarah can also be found on Twitter.
