A Short Penis Story
Yes, I know – a very childish and quite deliberate misplaced modifier… You can’t be surprised, surely?
For a long, long time I have been convinced that I am totally rubbish at short stories and it’s beginning to look as if I might just have been wrong.
I’m thrilled to say that I’ve had a short story accepted by the lovely Julianne at Guts Publishing for an anthology about penises.

A friend posted the link to the call for submissions on my Facebook page, as a joke mostly, and an idea popped into my head and I wrote it up and sent it off.
It’s a memoir piece, and I think quite an unusual story and not what anyone who knows me, or who doesn’t know me, will be expecting.
So I hope you decide to take a risk and buy the anthology when it becomes available.
I’m looking forward to reading the other stories and poems.
Also, come September 3rd, the Me Too anthology will be published, with my revenge story A Dog’s Life. Currently it can be pre-orderd on Amazon in the UK and the US.
And earlier this year, my short memoir piece If… was shortlisted for the Fish prize.
After a long holiday from writing as I was in and out of hospital, I am glad to be back in the saddle. A metaphor which I assure you has nothing to do with the penis story.
